21st Century English Skills

Common European Framework of Reference

We have been working with the Council of Europe to develop new CEFR scales of competence describing essential “soft” communication skills for the 21st Century. For the first time, it will be possible to scale, measure and certify these skills alongside language ability on an international level.

Skills for Global citizens

These are the skills employees need to become global citizens, to be competitive and to greatly improve their chances to advance professionally and academically. In our conversations with large international employers we have understood these are the skills that give top candidates the edge and make them job-ready. Creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and communication skills in today’s world are prised assets. We have fully integrated these “soft” skills and other fundamental employability skills in our programmes. With our learn-by-doing approach, with tasks and assessments that focus on real life communication, outcomes all delivered through my.Eurocentres, our students are in control of their learning and can progress faster.
